Transformation States

This script allows you to transform in battle through the application of states.

    I think I’m having a few issues with this script:

    1. I’m having the state switch my character’s weapon, but it’s not showing the attack animation for the new weapon when I use the default attack option, its only showing the default melee animation.

    2. If you use the transformation to change a character’s equipment, is it possible to revert to the character’s original equipment after the state wears off? Because if it is, I can’t figure out how to do it.

      Don’t put them in < and > it tries to convert it to html.
      I thought it did change the animation and revert back to the original equipment when the state wore off.

    Here’s the tag data for the state, properly formatted this time(sorry about that).

    transformclass 12 //changes to class 12
    transformequips 61,0,0,62,-1 //changes weapon to 61, armor
    //to 62, removes head and arm
    //gear,and keeps accessory

    If I use the transformation skill in battle to change the weapon, the weapon animation doesn’t play; I can’t even be sure if the weapon is even properly equipped. I get the same thing after the state wears off; no animation for the original weapon. And when the battle is over, I’ll go the the equipment menu and the original gear will be unequipped. Happens whether I end the battle in the state or not, and if I add and remove the state outside of battle, same thing happens. If it matters, if I start playtesting as the transformed class, with no states involved, the animations play fine.

    Hi Fomar, this is quite a nifty script you’ve made. Now I’m wondering, would this work alongside your sprite-based side view battle? I mean as in if I have a character who can turn into a wolf, then during battle, I can make that character’s sprite to that of a wolf?
