Unique Classes

This script is aimed at scripters or people using several of my unique classes scripts. The easiest way to explain it is by probably explaining my motivation for coding it. Back when I was scripting for XP and VX sometimes I would create systems only for certain characters e.g. one character is an alchemist and can mix potions or a group of characters learn skills from their weapons or an accessory (think spell tomes) and increasingly Game_Actor would be full of code that was only needed for a fraction of the total characters. This is my solution, to put all the code that only applies to one or a small group of characters into it’s own class.

  1. I hate to say I never really understood this script before.

    If I use the stand alone version of say Elementalist every character would gain the skills if they use an element set-up in the script, but if I use the unique classes version then it would only effect the class or classes set up in this script. Did I get that right?

      Spot on, the stand alone scripts are for if you want the whole party to use that system and the Unique Classes versions are for if you want it to just be certain classes.

      • Well then that’s really handy. I thought I was going to have to do some “ninja” work arounds and the simple solution was here the whole time.
